Green Is Gorgeous INTERACTIVE Eco-Contest for the 2010 Miss America Contestants

 Have you ever put the Law of Attraction to work? I used it to create my new business GreenTwithTamara.TV and to create a new INTERACTIVE eco-contest my business launched to help the 2010 Miss America Contestants educate America about being green. Back in 1993, my pageant director for the Miss White River Pageant Ned Metcalf gave me a beautiful Arkansas crystal as a gift when I was competing to win Miss Arkansas. His inscription was as follows:

This is an ARKANSAS story. This is a grass roots movement that has it's very beginnings in Hot Springs, Arkansas, from the Natural State, and has taken root, and grown into a national movement. This national gift from mother nature didn't originate in Nebraska. It's all about Arkansas. Arkansas is the home of diamonds and Hot Springs crystals. And one diamond in the rough who is shining to help the whole nation come together for the benefit of our shared environment. Arkansas can be proud that it has produced something from it's Natural State that is now helping the whole nation go green, and deepen it's connection to care for the planet, mother nature and all natural things. The Arkansas native may be doing her work from California, but the roots of her whole philosophy are firmly rooted in the Natural State. You can take the girl out of the Natural State, but you can't take the Natural State out of the girl. I have attached a very private behind-the-scenes Arkansas related story below in red:
 
California is the leader of the nation when it comes to Going Green, but for some institutions it takes a little longer. 
In fact, for the first time since it's beginning in 1921, the Miss America Pageant is finally Going Green.
And it happens to be someone who grew up in the natural state who is helping them do it!

However, this genuine Arkansas crystal is said to have special energy that promotes power and ability while diffusing negative vibrations that come its way. This native Arkansas gem represents my best wishes and faith in you and all that you are capable of accomplishing. Let this little crystal serve as a reminder that YOU have the power to make positive things happen. I believe in you. Love, Ned"

I manifested new creative energy over the summer. I was in a group of powerful women and we met weekly to manifest our wildest dreams as an extension of a course we just took together on Financial Freedom during the tail end of the recession. We met at Francesca's home on the ocean, just up the coast from me a couple of miles. She's in her 70s. She is very spiritual and conscious and had water specially shipped in to her home from far away. We were talking about it ... and it was from Hot Springs!!! What a coincidence, huh!! I had been bringing the crystal to each meeting - which was also from Hot Springs too! The whole Green Is Gorgeous eco-contest unfolded over the summer as an extention of my new green business and the ladies supported me through the whole process. They watched as I manifested the funds to be able to travel to Orlando in August to interview all the Miss America Contestants. So, I would say that on the deep spiritual level, the energy of the Miss Arkansas Pageant in Hot Springs came through Ned's gift to help manifest this gorgeously green eco-contest which is serving as an INTERACTIVE platform to help in our mission of HOPE - to Heal Our Planet Earth. I really feel the full power of Mother Earth working synchronistically to create this whole green movement. She has sprung up from her pure waters and crystals of Hot Springs, which reached me in California (through Francesca's imported water) where I was able to continue to use everything I gained from Miss Arkansas (the scholarship money to earn my degree in Broadcast Journalism) to use my television career and passion for mind/body/spirit so we can all get past the "me" generation and unite together as a community in an affort to do something for something outside ourselves who desperately needs our help - Mother Earth. I am amazed at what has manifested! It's just a beautiful demonstration of how we are all interconnected and we are truly all one.

 In July 2010, I was asked to co-host Green Perspectives talk show pilot and my co-host Blythe is getting her PhD in Metaphysical Sciences and wrote books on the healing power of crystals. After the pilot, they gave me a heart-shaped selenite crystal to add to my quartz. 

 Quartz crystal holds frequencies, so it emanates the pure life force energy from where it came from.  It will also hold the frequencies you put into it with your thoughts, so it's a great manifestation tool.  They are awesome for structuring water. You can put that crystal in your pitcher of drinking water to alkalinize the water.


The book tells you all about how to clear, program and dedicate them.  Quartz, for me, are the super chargers. They physically help to strengthen your molecular structure because they, themselves, are immortal. I like to have one by the computer because it will absorb the EMFs (electromagnetic frequencies) so my body doesn't have to.  I can work a lot longer at the computer without feeling drained since I put crystals on my desk.

Tamara Henry knows the pageant circuit all too well, competing for seven years before she finally captured the crown. During all this, she had TWO mothers!! -not only did she have her biological Mother, but she had an adopted God-mother as well... a doctor's wife in the small Arkansas town took Tamara under her wing to help her win. Tamara wrote a revealing first-hand behind-the-scenes story in the Arkansas Times about her experience you can read on this website. Tamara has a degree in Broadcast Journalism and was hired as the main weeknight news anchor at a WB station in Little Rock Arkansas while she was still wearing her crown! She jumped from there to one of the Top Five FOX affiliates in the nation. She now works as a local news anchor in Los Angeles for 2 1/2 years while she got her Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology with an emphasis in Consciousness, Health and Healing. An "expert" in the emotional and stressful art of success and winning, she is a certified NLP coach in addition to her award winning inspirational work in mind/body/spirit pageant coaching. She is set to start in September to get her PhD in Psychology and Health with an emphasis in Positive Television Programming. Tamara's bio is impressive - E! - Style Network's Beauty and Well Being show "GLOW", "Access Hollywood", "The Tonight Show", USA Network, etc.... She is celebrating a decade on the air this year, and has landed an interview with Apollo 11 Astronaut "Buzz" Aldrin on the show she created, produces and hosts, which airs on Time Warner. She is currently writing a book on the dark/comical side of pageants you can read about on this website! And, who will win Tamara's scholarship this year?

The Miss California USA Pageant is October. Tamara is up for two shows on NBC - "Fortune" and "Sell This!" Watch for Tamara on HBO this Fall 2007 on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" episode number fifty-five, as she makes an appearance at the Ted Dansen birthday party, as she is a party guest drinking champagne and eating birthday cake while Larry David's limo driver makes a big scene at the home of Ted and Arkansas native Mary Steenburgen.
